The FDF Dance Group Nea Parea Diakonia Project for 2016 is to help clothe those in need with a Bag of Blessings. We hope to encourage each family, child, and teen in our parish and dear friends and family to go through their closets and bring in one grocery bag full of the nicest, cleanest, gently used baby, children, and young adult clothing to Church on January 24th or January 31st.
Our annual Saint Katherine Crab Feed has been replaced with a Surf-and-Turf Dinner due to the restrictions this year on crab. We moved the event and it is now scheduled for Saturday, February 27th starting at 6 PM. Tickets for the steak and lobster dinner are $40 per person. Please contact any Parish Council member for information and tickets.
On Sunday, January 31st, our Greek Orthodox Folk Dance Festival (FDF) group, Nea Parea, is hosting a Fundraising Luncheon to help fund their trip to Anaheim. Come join us in the Tsakopoulos Hall after the Divine Liturgy for a delicious luncheon of makaronia with mizithra, salad, and dessert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. The Nea Parea will perform a preview of their dances including dances from Nea Monstiri, Eastern Thrace during the luncheon. For more information, please contact Daphne Constantinou.
On Sunday, February 7th, the Philoptochos has their Annual Loukoumades Fundraiser benefiting the Kids n' Cancer Ministry. Come to the Tsakopoulos Hall after the Divine Liturgy and enjoy some freshly made loukoumades to help kids in need.
Please don't forget to send in your 2016 Stewardship Pledge Cards!
