Every year, Saint Katherine needs individuals, families, and businesses to donate to or become sponsors of the festival. Financial and in-kind donations of any value are needed and appreciated. Certain levels of donation are gratefully recognized. Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Why should I support this event?

As the major, annual, fundraising event for our Church, the "Weekend in Greece" festival enables her to minister to the surrounding Elk Grove and greater Sacramento communities, as well as her parishioners and their families. Saint Katherine not only provides a sacred place of worship and support, but also contributes to and assists the community and those in need.

The Saint Katherine community has helped the Elk Grove Community Assistance Network, WIND Youth Services (helping homeless youth in Sacramento), the Stockton Shelter for the Homeless, and the Kids 'n' Cancer Ministry of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco. In addition, we also help national organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House and international efforts such as The Hogar Rafael Ayau Orphanage, an orphanage in Guatemala City's toughest neighborhood. We participate in these various efforts through such activities as collecting food, clothing, and blankets, volunteer services, and financial support. Moreover, through ministries such as our Philoptochos Society, we directly aid the poor, the sick, and the elderly.

Your donation to our festival would support the Church's Christian ministry to the Elk Grove and greater Sacramento communities, and to her parishioners.
